Write For Us

For the first time since Weathered was founded in July 2023, it's being opened to writers who care about the planet, human rights, and other environmental and social issues. We're welcoming writers and contributors who are pragmatic about our future and want to lend their voice to the urgent matter at hand: the survival of our biosphere.

At this time we're currently looking for only two articles from contributors per month and we can pay $50 per article that ranges between 1,000 to 2,000 words. Submissions are open between the 1st and 15th of the month.

What we're looking for is personal with empirical observation essays, articles with cold hard data & facts, and narratives on solutions for the way forward. If you have an article that fits in the climate change, sustainability, environmental, and social issue genre, then please send us a link to your previous work and pitch us the idea first. We reserve the right to reject your piece if it doesn't fit but welcome you to pitch another piece.

Note: This publication is a scrappy and bootstrapping kind of startup that is paid for by the generous donations of our members. We hope to increase the price per article as we grow and welcome literary donations from writers. We reserve the right to change the terms above at any time.
